Wren Awry is a writer, educator, editor, and cook living in Tucson, Arizona. Their essays and poems have been published by The Rumpus, Entropy, Essay Daily, Rust + Moth, and Ghost City Press, among other venues. They’re currently at work on an interview series about food in cultures of resistance.
Wren is an Education Coordinator at the University of Arizona Poetry Center, where they develop, support, and implement creative writing programs for K-12 students. They’ve previously worked as a line cook, food writer, herbal apprentice, environmental activist, and humanitarian aid volunteer.
Wren really likes making homemade ice cream and really hates capitalism.
