Hi! I’m Wren. I write essays, edit, conduct interviews, develop recipes, make queer theater, and teach creative writing to people of all ages. I’m deeply interested in the connections between food and collective liberation, and a lot of my work focuses on those themes. I’ve been published by The Rumpus, Entropy, and in the book Rebellious Mourning: The Collective Work of Grief, among other places.
While I have a BA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of Arizona, much of my learning has taken place in radical collective spaces, direct action campaigns, and as part of organizations for environmental and border justice. I write and create as a queer, adopted, neurodivergent person of Irish, Italian, and English heritage; and a settler on occupied Tohono O’odham and Apache land.
